Randy Seaver of Genea-Musings offers us the following challenge:

For this week’s mission (should you decide to accept it), I challenge you to:

1)  Read Linda Stufflebean’s blog post, “Homes In Which I’ve Lived” on her Empty Branches on the Family Tree blog.

2)  This week, please list the homes in which you have resided (not just visited) from your birth until the present.

3)  Share your list in your own blog post, in a comment on this post, or on Facebook or Google+.  Please provide a link to your list as a comment to this post.

When I was born, my parents were living on Wilmont Street in Anderson, South Carolina.  At some point, we also lived on Marlon Avenue, also in Anderson.  I do not remember either of those homes. We also lived at 507 Wellington Street, then moved over to 508 Wellington Street, both in Anderson, SC.  I vaguely remember 507 Wellington Street. I remember 508 very well.  During the summer of 1978, my daddy bought land on Martin Road in Starr, South Carolina.  I started 8th grade in a totally different school district from my first seven years of school. It was like a whole other world.  This is where I lived until I moved off to college and then got married (1984).

Our first home together was on East Green Street in Iva, South Carolina.  Once I conceived the first McClendon-branded grandchild, we moved to Poplar Street in Iva, practically in the backyard of McClendon Manor, the home of David’s parents.  After David’s daddy died, we moved to Anderson to Country Club Lane, then to B Street, also in Anderson.  After that, we moved to my daddy’s property on Martin Road in Starr. We were there until we moved for a job to Grace Street in Greenwood, South Carolina (1993).  When that job played out, we moved back to Anderson, to a house on Power Street.  After Power Street, we moved to Lari Lane and then Tabitha Court, both in the same complex.  Then, it was back to Starr for us.

We bought our first house. It was on Sanford Road in Starr, South Carolina. We lived there from 1996 until 2004, which was when we moved out here to Texas. We have lived in this same house almost 13 years now. This is the longest that I have ever lived in any one house, either with my parents or as a married woman.
